Vanilla crepes with ice cream and syrup

A quick and easy crepe recipe that never fails to delight your family and friends.



This recipe for crepes is very basic and very simple. It is guaranteed to make silky and smooth crepes that can be topped with ice cream and your favourite toppings. Not only is it easy to make, it is very easy to eat. The crepes are light and delicious and just melt in your mouth. They are a great breakfast meal and a tasty dessert for any occasion.

Preparation Time: 5 minutes
Cooking Time: 10 minutes
Makes: 8 servings

Ingredients
1 cup of plain flour
1.5 cups of milk
1 egg
1 teaspoon of vanilla essence
1 tablespoon of sugar
Vanilla ice cream
Maple syrup

Method
Place a cup of flour into a bowl.



Add 1 egg.



Add the milk and whisk together, making sure to get all the lumps out.



Add the vanilla essence.



Heat a teaspoon of vegetable oil in a frying pan and wait till hot.



Pour one ladle of batter into the frying pan and stir until batter is flat. Wait until one side is cooked and flip.



Flip the crepe until cooked and slightly golden.



Serve up with ice cream and your favourite toppings.
