Strawberry Cream Dessert
Strawberries are one of the healthier fruits, as are all berries.
In this recipe they are combined with cream and can be sweetened if you have children who prefer sweet rather than sweet mixed with tart!
It is very easy to make, and can be whipped up in a matter of minutes, making it a handy recipe for a spur of the moment dessert.

: 4 - 6 servings
500 g strawberries
500 ml thickened cream
Wash and hull the strawberries. Put all but 1 in a blender and chop till they are smooth.
Add about 2 tsp castor sugar and taste -if it is not sweet enough, add some more.
Whip the cream till it is just starting to form peaks. Do not overwhip.
Put half the strawberry mix into the cream and gently mix.
In small dishes or one large dish, layer the strawberry cream mixture, then add the plain blended strawberries, and so on, ending with a strawberry cream layer.
Cut the remaining strawberry into quarter and decorate on the top.
