This sweet, healthy salad recipe is one of my childrenís favorites. Their grandmother introduced it to them over ten years ago, and they have loved it ever since.
Preparation Time: 15 minutes
Makes: 8 servings
Ingredients 2 lbs. of your favorite sprouts
2 apples, cored and chopped
1 bunch red grapes, halved
1 bunch green grapes, halved
2 bunches parsley, finely chopped
1 stalk celery, finely chopped
1 cup raisins
Ĺ pound nuts, chopped (optional)
2 green onions, finely chopped
Mix all ingredients and serve.
One of the great things about this recipe is that you can alter it to fit your tastes and available ingredients. Iíve changed it up many times, using a variety of sunflower greens, mung bean and alfalfa sprouts, using pears instead of apples, omitting the parsley, and using a variety of nuts or leaving them out entirely. Itís been delicious every time. Enjoy!
