Sometimes the usual spaghetti and pasta dinners can get a little boring. Kids don't want to eat their meal, parents ripping their hairs out -no fun for anyone. This Sausage Fun-ghetti recipe is a little twist to a classic dish, inviting the whole family to join in and prepare for dinner together

Preparation Time: 15 minutes
Cooking Time: 10 minutes
Makes: 3 servings

Ingredients
6 skinless frankfurts
250g spaghetti
1 onion, diced (optional)
300g ready-made pasta sauce
Mixed herbs to season
Grated mozzarella or tasty cheese to top
Olive oil to drizzle

Method
Cut the frankfurts into smaller portions with a knife.

Get a strand of spaghetti and thread it through the sausage.

Repeat until 6-8 strands are threaded through. You can even thread the spaghetti through two sausage portions if you like. Repeat until all sausages are used up.

In a large saucepan bring water to the boil.

Place the prepared spaghetti into the saucepan and cook over high heat.

Drizzle with a bit of olive oil and cook for 3-4 minutes or al dente.

Drain the spaghetti.

Meanwhile in another saucepan over medium-high heat. Cook the onions for 1 minute or until brown.

Add in the pasta sauce, stirring and bring to the boil.

Plate up the spaghetti with the pasta sauce.

Sprinkle with the mixed herbs and grated cheese. Place in the microwave on high for 2 minutes or until the cheese has melted.
