Potato Mash with a few more yummy extras.
If your kids like mashed potatoes, then why not add a few more delicious things to the mash to make it into a meal. I like to add ham, some greens and some cheese to make a good wholesome dinner. The cream makes the mash soft and creamy that will just melt in your mouth.
I am used to making mashed potatoes with the usual ingredients like butter and cream, but today I thought to myself, why not make a whole meal out of them by adding some greens, some ham and some cheese. This delighted the children as it tasted amazing but was also lump-free and tasty. It is ridiculously easy to make and it will keep in the fridge for a few days. The cheese melts all the way through and you can use either ham, bacon or salami, depending on what your kids love to eat.
I like to add that little bit of greens to get them used to seeing 'green' on the plate. Once they realize the flavor is delicious, the green becomes no big deal.
Try cooking this dish and serving it up alongside your favourite meat or fish, or you can serve it up as a dish on its own; it all depends on how your kids like their mashed potatoes.
This dish will take you less than half an hour to prepare and it will last you a few days in the fridge. So try it with a few different variations. Potatoes are the most versatile vegetable that inspire the most amazing ideas.
Experiment with potatoes and mash them up and won't can't go wrong.
