This slightly scary looking recipe is the perfect way to spook older kids around Halloween time or for a magical Wizard's party (just tell them it's made from real dragon's eyeballs). This is adapted from a traditional Chinese medicinal recipe using longan fruits (instead of lychees) to assist with patients suffering from anemia, so it's actually very good for you. The lychees and ground rice are readily available from any larger supermarket.
I have kept this recipe simple, however, for dramatic effect, you could add a few drops of red food coloring (or beetroot juice or raspberry cordial) to the ground rice mixture to make it resemble blood. Or maybe you could just use ready made custard as the base, to make the preparation stage even more simple.
