Mini-heart pizzas

Whenever I make a pie, my children are always keen to help with the rolling out of the pastry. Usually I let them make some shapes for the top of the pie, but sometimes there's too much for that. In this case, I had loads leftover, so I handed it over to my ten year old and asked her to come up with a recipe. This was her idea. Our pictures show how she did it, but I've changed the instructions to make sure it works for you as she used too much cheese on each mini-pizza.

Preparation Time: 10 minutes
Cooking Time: 25-30 minutes
Makes: 12 servings

Ingredients
Leftover pastry (about 50g)
4 tbsp tomato passatta
50g mozzarella cheese

Method
Preheat the oven to 180 Celsius
Roll out the pastry and then cut into hearts using a cookie cutter (you could use any shape that you like).

Using a teaspoon, spread a little of the tomato sauce in the centre of each heart.

Cut a small bit of mozzarella cheese and put in on top of the tomato sauce. Don't use too much or it will run off the edges.

You could also add a sliver of red pepper, onion, or fresh tomato just before you cook it.

Bake in the oven for about 15 minutes until the cheese is bubbling and the pastry is golden.
