A beautifully indulgent slice filled with malteser delight. A real winner.
Preparation Time: 20 minutes
Cooking Time: 10 minutes plus refrigeration
Makes: 16 servings
Ingredients
250g plain sweet biscuit ( I used a mixture of what I had in the pantry including Marie, milk arrowroot, granita etc)
2 cups of rice bubbles
125g butter
2 Tbsp cocoa
180-200g bag of maltesers, cut in half
400g tin of condensed milk
200g white chocolate
Method
Line a slice tin with baking paper.
Place biscuits in bag and crush with rolling pin until they resemble fine crumbs or blitz in food processor if you have one. Pour in to a large bowl and add rice bubbles and half of the chopped maltesers.
In a saucepan over medium heat, add the butter, condensed milk and cocoa together. Whisk until melted together and smooth.
Pour over dry ingredients and mix until well combined. Press mixture in to tin.
Break white chocolate into pieces and put in microwave-safe bowl. Heat in 30 second bursts in microwave, stirring each time, until chocolate has fully melted.
Pour melted chocolate on top of slice and smooth out. Press the remaining maltesers in to the chocolate.
