Why use butter, when you can use yummy tuna and feed your kids the good stuff like omega 3!
If your kids like tuna, they will love this easy spread. You can make it for breakfast, lunch or dinner and you will be pleased that your kids are eating something healthy like tuna which is full of protein and the good stuff to develop their thinking!
In our home, we home school and I like to keep the kids feeling full for a long period of time so that they can focus on what we are doing. I find tuna keeps them full for a really long time which is great. We spend a lot of time in the classroom and we also spend a lot of time outdoors which means the kids need energy to do many learning projects. We learn about healthy eating and I can't find a fault with tuna!
Growing up near the seaside, our kids have grown to love fish and when you make it fun, you will be surprised at how far this dish will go. I like to get them involved in the blending process and in making their own lunches which always keeps them enthusiastic and excited about meal time.
For the adults, if you have left overs, this dish makes a good dip to go along with crackers and wine in the evening and you can also make this spread to go on top of hot crusty bread for breakfast. Whatever you choose to do with it, it is one of those dishes that is versatile and absolutely yummy!
