Mid morning or late afternoon can be a tricky time for keeping little tummies fed. These simple to prepare Ham Sticks are a healthy solution to keep hunger at bay without ruining their appetite completely before lunch or dinner. I have used apple, pear, cream cheese and sliced ham, however you could use other favorite fruits or vegetables and sliced turkey or chicken as alternative wrappings.

Ingredients
4 slices of ham
4 tablespoons cream cheese
1 apple
1 pear
4 wooden skewers

Method
Chop the apple and pear into long chunks, so that you can easily poke a skewer through them.

Poke the stick through the apple
Poke a skewer through the chopped apple and pear, then coat it with cream cheese. Older children might like to prepare this step on their own.
Wrap the sliced ham around the cream cheese and present to the hungry hoards for consumption. Perhaps a plate of these would make a healthy addition to a child's birthday party table. Enjoy.
