Whilst you're preparing a meal, kids need something quick and ready instantly to fill the gap between after school time and dinner. A quick finger food fruit bowl is a doddle to prepare and can be ready in minutes.
Berries are high in antioxidants (which kill free radicals - the chemicals which cause spots), and naturally sweet, so your kids are more likely to dig in.
Preparation Time: 5 minutes
Makes: 2 kids servings
Ingredients
Half punnet Strawberries
Half punnet Blueberries
1 Banana
3 Almonds

Required ingredients
Method
Wash the berries then hull and slice the strawberries for easier bites.
Add the sliced strawberries to a bowl with the blueberries.
Place the almonds in a pestle and mortar and grind down, so they're broken into small pieces/slice with a sharp knife.
Top the fruit bowl with the crushed almonds and serve.
I add almonds for a bit of crunch and texture - plus it balances the sugar in the fruit, and adds a little protein too.
