The sneaky way to eat your greens.

If you think the sound of kale and spinach is boring then think again. Put some butter, garlic and bacon in your pan and let your taste buds go wild. You won't think you are eating boring old greens, but a fancy and creamy feast that is bursting with flavour. If you have trouble getting your kids or teenagers to eat their greens then this dish is a nice introduction because it doesn't taste healthy... And it probably isn't, but you can experiment with it and eventually add less butter and less cream. Try it, it will amaze and delight your family.

Preparation Time: 5 minutes
Cooking Time: 10 minutes
Makes: 4 servings

Ingredients
A bunch of silver beet with the middle removed.
A small bunch of kale (6 or 7 leaves)
3 cloves of garlic
A handful of pre-cooked bacon
25grams of butter
4 tablespoons of milk
1 tablespoon of plain flour

Gather and wash your fresh ingredients.

Shred the spinach and kale.

In a frying pan melt the butter and garlic.

Add the shredded spinach and kale.

Add the diced cooked bacon.

Stir together and heat on high then on low.

Add the flour and stir in well.

Stir well and add the cream.

Serve up on a bed of rice or as a side dish to your favourite meat or fish.
