This cooling smoothie is perfect for a hot summer day. You don't have to put a lot of ice cream in, but it will give a lovely flavour and coolness to the smoothie which will refresh your children.
Perfect for dessert or a snack, the sweetness of the whole banana will make this easy to make smoothie taste great.
This also doubles as a great fast meal for your fussy eater or child who isn't hungry in the morning, or for when you have to rush off early and don't have time to prepare or eat a large breakfast. Adults will like this too.

Ingredients
1 scoop chocolate icecream
1 banana
1 cup of milk
Method
Slice banana into blender. This helps to save your blades a little bit and cut down on blending time.
Scoop icecream in. Pour milk on top and blend. You want to make sure that you blend for a good minute if you have an older style blender or a small food processor like I do, to give the banana time to liquify and become part of the drink, because banana chunks aren't that nice in a smoothie.
Note - if you rinse the blender cup and blade straight away, they will be easy to wash and won't be the horrible chore that they would be to scrub a couple of hours later.
