This is a good way to let your children use up left-over pastry. They can pick the shape they want to make from your selection of cookie cutters. By using fruit spread rather than jam, you can also cut down on the refined sugar content. Fruit spread also tends to have larger chunks of fruit in it, which means that the jam won't run off these tiny tarts. Apricot works especially well, but any fruit spread with chunks would be good.
