Almond butter is the luxury cousin of peanut butter, and it tastes just as indulgent.
: 5 minutes
: 15 minutes
: a ramekin full
Item 100g almonds
Baking tray with leftover meat juices
Alternatively, olive oil
Place the almonds at the bottom of the tray, toss in the oil and place in the oven for 15 minutes, medium shelf, at 150 degrees/gas mark 3.
Remove from the oven.
You can store half of the almonds in a jar - they're a great snack when you're peckish.
Transfer the nuts to a food processor.
Process for 1 minute and scrape down the sides.
The butter will come together.
Scrape the butter into a jar and serve.
This keeps in the fridge for up to five days. Spread it on toast, add it to porridge, or enjoy with a banana for a nutritious snack.
